PCS Outstanding Achievement Awards
It's that time of the year again! Since 1997, the Philippine Cultural Society of The George Washington University has conferred special awards on outstanding students whose service and accomplishments extend into both the organization as well as the greater University community.
Who's eligible?
-All members of PCS (Class of 2020-2024) are eligible to be nominated for the awards.
-Elected officers of PCS are also eligible, but these individuals must go “above and beyond” the normal expectations of the position.
NOTE: Historically, the awards have been given to one man and one woman, however, PCS wants to be representative and inclusive of all of our members who may not identify with these terms, thus this rule no longer applies.
Who can I nominate?
-Nominees must be current students, undergraduate or graduate, full-time or part-time, and be a paid member of PCS. Members of the graduating classes of 2020-2024 are eligible for nomination.
-Self-nominations are NOT allowed, but you may nominate multiple individuals (please submit one form per nomination).
-All members of PCS and the University community are invited to nominate.
How are winners selected?
Individuals are nominated based on their involvement and accomplishments. These nominations are reviewed by a panel of past award recipients. The selection committee, made up of past award recipients, will choose one award winner for each award for the academic year. All decisions are final.
